The compressive strength of mortars and concrete specimens containingcopper slagasfine aggregatewas investigated by Hwang and Laiw . The study concluded that the mortars containing the larger amounts ofcopper slag sandhad lower early strengths at w/c of 0.48 and that the strengths of mixtures with 20–80% substitution of copper slag were higher than that of the control specimens.
